The Nigerian Canadian Baptist Church of Toronto (NCBC) is a Church that is open to all children of God and to all seekers of the truth. This Body of Christ is only denominational by name; we are however, interdenominational in our doctrine, belief and practice. In other words, everybody is somebody here; our door is wide open to all and sundry regardless of their nationality or religious affiliation. We know that Jesus, the Owner of the Church transcends denominations - He knows no denominations, we do not either. Put in a French terms, “nous sommes sans frontiers” meaning, we are without boundary, we are non-discriminatory, we welcome everyone regardless of his or her language, nationality, age, gender, race, colour or denominational attachment. Prophet Isaiah in 56:7 (as quoted by Jesus Christ Himself) says, ".... for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people"; this is our stance as a church.
In a nutshell, Jesus is central in our message; we focus mainly on salvation, life eternal – which is contingent upon Jesus’ self-sacrifice on the cross. We can categorically say like Paul the Apostle that we preach “Jesus Christ and Him Crucified” (I Corinthians 2:2). The Word of God says further, “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all" (Ephesians 4:4-6). We also say as the Psalmist, "Taste and see that the LORD is good;..." (Psalm 34:8). Therefore, come; join us for a worship service to experience a taste of the Lord’s goodness. The Lord, Jesus is waiting for you, even you.
