Bible Study

The significance of the Word of God in a Christian life cannot be over-emphasized. We need His Word in order to grow and to live our lives for Him as well as to please Him in every step of our Christian journey. A child of God without the Word of God is like a fragile, porous empty barrel. Such a person is no better than a non-Christian; and is more open to sin against God and consequently more vulnerable to satanic attacks. The Psalmist says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee" (Psalm 119:11). We know that the Word of God is fresh and inspiring; and the more one reads it the better he or she becomes as the Holy Spirit always has something new to teach the children of God at every point in time called transformation.

Just as our daily meal helps not only our sustenance but also our growth, so is the Word of God. No one can live for Him without His Word. Obviously, Jesus used the Word to silence the tempter at the start of His earthly ministry. And that is the secret of His success. Therefore, we have Bible Study time to help our spiritual growth into Christian maturity.

Being guided by the Holy Spirit, our Bible Study follows different patterns such as: Topical, Series, Book-by-Book, Expository (Chapter by Chapter) and so forth. Sometimes we use contemporary world events to relate to the Word of God as we answer questions such as: Where is God in this event or incident?
